Diana Wicks and Marouscha Puister were asked to present their research during the 1-year anniversary of the network for Women in Nuclear (WiN) in The Netherlands. During a webinar, they presented their work on radioisotopes for cancer therapy, but also reflected on how they ended up in nuclear and what it’s like to work in the nuclear sector as a woman.
This anniversary was celebrated on the 6th of March, two days from International Women’s Day which took place on a Sunday this year. To support this Dutch network, the chair of the WiN Global organization held an inspiring talk on the origin of the network and the current endeavor to have more local chapters in different countries.
